The Monticello Opera House is a private, self-supporting, 501(c)3, non-profit corporation.
Our historic, two-story facility, built in 1890, includes the large Perkins Banquet Hall on the ground floor,the 311 seat Historic Theater on the second floor, and the picturesque Garden Courtyard area. We produce year-round entertainment including a variety of concerts, plays, musicals, dinner theater, children's theater, and other events. We are home to two local community theater groups: the Opera House Stage Company and the Monticello Acting & Dance Company. The Opera House is also a popular venue for weddings, parties, conferences, and other community events.
